That looks good. Really, the case is a personal decision. As long as it meets your needs, it's fine.
As far as half-heigh PCI cards, it depends on what PCI devices you want to use.
Half-height NICs are and modems are common. Anything else, I wouldn't know. I wouldn't expect to see a TV Tuner or capture card as half-height, although I could be wholly surprised.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?

performance & video requirements of a carpc are somewhat muted.
:: You won't be running 5+ CPU.Intensive apps and 20+ other services while you're driving.
:: You won't be staring at the screen for long periods
:: You won't be running at 1280x1024 resolution.

You may find the onboard stuff is perfectly fine for in-car use.

again, a high end graphics card wont be mission critical. i know this for a fact. ive been running with an onboard intel card here and its run the games i play just fine. and on a small 7" or 8" screen, you arent going to notice those tiny details a high end graphics card will give you.

not only that, but if you plan on powering with a dc-dc supply, a high end card will be a major power hog and wont work with a dc-dc most likely.

              From their website:
              http://www.antec.com/us/productDetai...?ProdID=15100#

It appears that the Minuet only takes half-height PCI. Anything useful you'd want to stick in (SB Audigy 2, graphics, etc) will probably be full-height. I don't understand the value of half-height really.

Anyways, after a long time I'm finally buying stuff for my micro-atx system too and I think I found some good cases here:
              http://www.directron.com/cases---cas...atx-cases.html

My favorite looking one is from Athenatech:
              http://www.athenatech.us/a100.htm

It has a micro-ATX power supply though, so I probably won't go with it as ATX supplies are more developed as a product (efficient, etc).
