  • First newbie post...

    Hi there. As with many others here I'm a longtime reader first time poster, anyho, I finally got my act together to start my carputer project in my 82 mini hl (austin not bmw ). so far have decided on this (Diagram Below)

    Allready ordered:
    Xenarc 700 in-dash touchscreen
    Xenarc MP-SC8
    CNX-P1900

    Still deciding on:
    4channel amp, sub, speakers basically the audio side of things



    If you see any problems or have suggestions please let me know.

    Looks great! Nice plan. Looks like you've done your homework. Make sure you post pics of a PC in a 'real' Mini!

        Wouldn't a separate amp be needed to power the sub?

          Not if you run two channels stereo and bridge the other two for the sub

              Looks great. I would be really interested to see an install in a classic mini. Make sure you post piccies...

                I thought about using 2 amps one of which would be for the sub, but there isn't alot of room in the mini so I thought a 4 channel amp with 2 channels bridged for the subs would be the way to go.

                All I need now is to find a decent amp. Any suggestions on which brand to go for.

                    How is the MP-SC8 working out for you? And where is the diagram you mention?
