Try the mp3car.com store. Most people here seem to use Xenarc or lilliput. You'll need to decide if you need a touchscreen or not, as that is an important part of the interface for your carPC.

i think that it's a most, that it's Touchscreen. it's one of the best things about a pc system in the car. when i buy the motherboard for the pc, can i use normal cpu, RAM and HDD? or do i have to buy special parts, that work with it?

Also checkout LinITX as you are in Europe they would be local to you. I saw one indash unit there.

Get something designed for mobile (low-power consumption) computing. A regular pc requires way too much power for my taste. Unless you've got an RV with a huge alternator (which my parents had), you'll have no hope of powering a regular PC with a stock (or close to it) alternator. A dual battery setup might work, but that's getting OT for this.

HDD would be fine with either a 3.5 or (preferably) a 2.5" unit. The power supply seems to be the only other item of major consideration. Folks here seem to use either the M1-ATX or the Opus. You'll need to decide which works best for your case/hardware application. I'm trying to decide now as well. I think I'm leaning towards the Opus 150.

            Look at http://www.carputersfordummies.com/Monitors.htm

They have resonable prices and cheap international shipping with USPS. I live in sweden and bought lots of stuff from them. Fast and helpful support too.

With your new car you should have no problem powering a full size PC. But you do have to worry about draining your batt and then being stuff. Personality i would go full size. 1 the price is way cheaper and 2nd u got a million to chose from. Add a bunch of cool things unlike a mini/nano board where u have 1 or 2 PCI slots and a few I/O ports.
But if you just doing like GPS/music/movies, then go with mini.

                256 ddr
                8 lilliput
                bu-353

                still installing...
