  • What Case??

Hey everyone. Happy Thanksgiving! Well I was just thinking with Xmas right around the corner that I should begin focusing on my Carpc project so maybe I can get some things for Xmas. I was just wondering what cases yall were using? And where did you buy them from? Thanks for all your help.

Go to Homedepot/Lowes and get some plywood/mdf/particle board and build one yourself (if there is room.)
If wood is not your flavor, what's about plexiglass/acrylic?

I'm not laughing. You did what works and meets your budget.
Others on these forums have built their systems in keyboxes from Ikea or rubbermaid storage containers. It's slightly more substantial than your mobo box but still just as 'ghetto', especially the tupperware.
Again... It works and is cheap, so who cares? You shove it under the seat and nobody knows....

Agreed. Unless you're plannin on puttin it under plexiglas with lots of pretty lights to show it off, who gives a &*#@ what it's mounted in as long as it works.

With the right skills nice thick plexi would make a beautiful case, as long as you can get them to 'weld' (or whatever) togeather, MDF or some sort would be just fine... make sure it's strong, never know what will happen in a car.
