  • Windows XP appearance changes upon reboot

I was wondering if anyone else has this problem. My problem is that I run windows XP with the XP appearance but some time I will start up the system and when it loads up the appearance will change back to the windows classic look. Usually I can go into properties and change it back but not always. Does anyone know why this happens?

    Thanks

It's been over two weeks and you have no replies....my suggestion...

...try renaming the title of your thread to: "Windows XP appearance changes upon reboot" and then post the question in the newbie section. Good luck.

I'd think you have something corrupted within Windoze. It could also be a result of a failing HDD causing corrupted Windoze data.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?

Maybe try a system restore to take your PC back to a state when it was all working fine

I'm kind of having a similar problem, except my computer switches from Windows XP appearance to the "windows classic" and then will switch back to Windows XP.
