  • Carnetix P1900

I have just about everything else figured out with my carputer except for how the p1900 will hook up. I am using the aopen minipc.

    1) To hook the p1900 to the aopen minipc and using this http://www.mp3car.com/store/product_...47da0443f8ada7 will I have to do any soldering? If so, where? I looked at the carnetix install guide but it wasn't really a walk through like I was hoping for.

    2) To hook the p1900 to the lilliput 619, do I need to do any soldering? Can anyone point me to an walkthrough of this? I currently have the case of the lilliput open and need to know if I will be using some of the wires inside the case or if I will hacking into the external power or external car charger cable.

    3) To hook up the p1900 to a usb hub using the 3rd output (http://www.mp3car.com/store/product_...roducts_id=139) will I have to do any soldering? Is there a walkthrough for this somewhere?

I checked out carnetix forum but it wasn't too much help for actually installing these things.

Have you read the product manuals for the P1900 and the 5V POL piece? They are pretty clear.

Also, try searching for "619 auto power" or "619 P1900" etc. I know I have seen threads about the hookups you are trying to do.

With that new cable you dont have to solder anything to turn the aopen on/off.

Will the 5V add in power two usb 2.0 4 port hubs? Do I need to calculate the power consumption of all the devices attached to the hubs? Oh yeah, sorry for thread jacking, but I bet it is info you want to know too...

I searched using those terms and others and didn't see anything that applied that much.
