  • Normal 7" TFT InDash Monitor Modify to fit VGA Cable?

Hi guys.. I'm working as a computer technician but when it comes to the car i'm totally blank. I have 1 TFT indash monitor without VGA cable. Can we modify it to fit with VGA cable? I mean, i want to use it as my carputer screen and my car's dvd player. Thanks

Does it have a yellow RCA connection for video in?
If so, you can use a video card with TV-out or a scan converter to get the signal to that screen.
Don't expect a high-quality image, however. PC video pumped through a composite video connection generally sucks balls.

Now, I think you should start reading here: http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=78795

Do lots of reading and planning. It will lead to a successful project.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

Under normal circumstances, a signature would go here.

I dunno, I'm using composite out for a second X head and it's not half bad at 800x600. Obviously not as good as VGA, but pretty good.
