  • Free Setup..what do u think?

Well, I am getting my hands on one of these:
    http://www.davespda.com/reviews/cerfpod.htm
Its called a Cerfpod. I plan to remove it from its shell and integrate it into my dash. No IDE, but it does support USB 2.0, so I figure I can Get myself and external DVD, install that in my glove compartment. Install a USB hub and make that excessable from the dash. I dont think I'll be getting an external hard drive but as long as I've got a DVD I can watch movies, and I can always play MP3's off of a USB key. It comes with CE installed, but after doing some reading looks like nlite is the way to go. This being a more propriety type system dont know how easy it will be to get drivers for it. My other issue is that its onboard sound support is mono, but was thinking I could get one of these:

    http://www.mp3car.com/store/product_...roducts_id=233

Hook sound through my existing head unit via the Aux input.

Any reason why this wouldnt be feasable?

    Thanks

I don't know if that will be able to read a USB storage device (meaning external HDD or optical drive).
For the price, it's certainly worth a shot, though.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

Under normal circumstances, a signature would go here.

After doing some additional research, the USB will support an external Hard drive, I have not found anything thus far stating it will support DVD. I can still work with that, I can rip my original DVD's and stick them on a hard drive
