  • P04704383AF Pinout help

    Ok, First Post Ever.

Now that I've got all the noob out of my system, just wanted to know if anyone has a manual or knows what the pinout for the P04704383AF Head Unit is. I know what the 2x5 pins are, as they are put on the sticker on the top of the unit. I REALLY need to know which pin on the 2-pin power pin array (that thing on the side, where I plug in the 12v + and -) is pos and which is ground. Let me know if I can supply any more information. I've already searched Google and this forum, and I've only found one other bit of info about a head unit that came out of some Town and Country Minivan. Not helpful. Below is a verbatim (as it were) copy of the numbers on the top of the unit.

    Model No. P04704383AF
    Issue 1
    Date Code 1179
    Supplier 28046
    Serial No. T00AM1179A2389

Again, ANY help would be appreciated.

Wow, that pdf has a bunch of info that I had no idea about. Unfortunately, I still don't know which pin (not pictured) is the ground, and which is the +12v in. I guess I'll just tear it apart and see if there's any obvious ground. Thanks for the pdf.

According to the PDF, the Black/Tan wire is the ground -- labeled Z2.
You could check it against the radio's case (check for resistance, if there's none, that's it.)
The Battery + (Always On) wire is the pink wire on 7th pin, 1st connector.
The Accessory (Ignition) wire is the Red/White wire on the 6th pin, 1st connector.

As long as the PDF matches the car's HU, I don't see a problem with the diagram.
