  • Changing the Jumper values on a M1ATX

Is it possible to change the timings on a M1ATX I do have a programmer knocking about somewhere, but I have zero knowledge of pic's etc.. what I'm after is using Suspend (s3), but if I dont start the car say after 24 hours the M1 then goes into HardOff.. this would then save my battery draining until it was below 11v's has it struggles then turning over my engine ?

    What I'm after is..

    Jumper 3 changing from

    5sec / never

    to

    5sec / 24hour

    can this be done

    cheers

Im kinda curious about this too on an M2ATX instead, a software shutdown timer that actually interacts with the PSU would be great

been running standby for a week now... very very pleased so far.. near instant turnon (3 seconds) and no flat battery as yet.. although I do make sure it cuts off when I put it in the garage at night.

Yes, it definitely can be done. The firmware was posted a year back or more. If you can figure out PIC assembly, you should be able to adjust the timing constants to suit your needs. I have a port to C (forget which compiler I used) laying around here somewhere. IIRC, I made it functionally equivalent to the OEM firmware (probably an older version) but I never got around to giving it a thorough test. My ultimate goal was to add a serial comm link from the PSU so that dynamic PSU settings and monitoring could be implemented (based on GPS location or other user supplied feedback for instance). Fortunately the OEM firmware suited my needs and I never got around to finishing -- you're welcome to it if you want.
