  • Stuck with the inverter for a while, static mitigation questions.

Well, finances (and the wife!) dictate that i will have to wait awhile before i can order a DSATX (I won't be going with a cheaper option, I'll just wait).
So, I'm running a p4 2.26 (it's not coming out, please do't suggest a smaller unit), and the inverter is inducing a static noise into the amps. I'm sure the inverter is a modified sine wave inverter also. It wasn't expensive enough to be a pure sine wave.

Does anyone know of a few tricks I can try to minimze or even eliminate the static (ie: grounding Schemes, chokes, filters etc)? The static is not effected by volume on the pc, it's at a constant volume no matter the volume selection. When I plug the pc into house power, there is no static.

I can almost bear with it, but it is a major PITA when running the gps with no music playing. I hate static noise.

    Any ideas for the interim?

    Cheers
