  • Auto Start Up and Shutdown with Carnetix P2140

Ok, Ive already posted a thread on the Carnetix Forum without any response. Maybe someone here can help.

So Ive been running my car pc for a few months, but I have never got the auto startup and shutdown to work.

The PC is a Xenarc SC3 (aka Sumicom 350) and the PSU is the Carnetix P2140 (185watt)

It is verified that there is a ACPI port on the back and I was told by Carnetix to wire up the green and white wire from the PSU to a stereo 1/8th audio jack. I was also told not to ground the jack and to use the 2 channels only. I did that last week and the PC still doesnt power on when I start the car. I know the ACPI port does work since whenever I either plug in or remove the new wired up audio jack into the ACPI port, it triggers the PC to turn on. Triple checked the audio jack and made sure the jack was plugged in all the way.

Any ideas? I would love to get this working so I dont have to open up the glove compartment to start the PC or having to manually shutdown th computer.

1/8 plug to the green and white wire from the P2140. The ACPI port is on the back of the Xenarc SC3.
