  • Electrical static on monitor

I have my vga cable running right along with the wires to power my inverter. When I turn on the computer there is a slight fuz or static on the screen. I checked the cable connection and it seems fine.
Would it be that the power cables are close to the video cable?
If so, aside from relocating is there a good type of insulator to use?

The general rule of thumb is to run power cables away from signal cables. They should at least be a couple of inches apart.

Also check to make sure you are getting the right voltage to the screen. I know with my lilliput and my old xenarc that if they don't get at least 11v to 11.5v the screen would get noise or static across the screen.
Never let the truth get in the way of a good story
