  • M2-ATX and Jetway 1.2GHz Fanless - RESOLVED!!!

    Hi All,

I just recently got my carputer equipment i'm pretty excited. I have tested the M2 ATX and things seem to be working fine, I get power and the start up/shutdown timers work. I've plugged it into my Motherboard and connected the power button pins to my Mobo as shows in the manuals and the Mobo does receive power.

The problem is that I get No VGA signal, no Beeps and the Mobo doesn't post. I've searched on the forums and found that there are some people modding their M2-ATX supplies... but I'm really kind of confused with all the mods they need to do. I'm just hoping I can get some clarity on this one since some of the posts date back to 2006 with the same issues.

I've read about contacting Ituner about what can be done, but it's also said that the mods were supposed to be incorporated into the new model M2 ATX as of Jan 15 2007. So I'm posting because I'm unsure whether this has to do with the timing issues that the M2-ATX has sending the power on Pulse or whether or not there's something wrong with the Motherboard.

That said, I did get it to beep once this morning after disconnecting everything and leaving it over night. When I reconnected everything it gave me a RAM not detected beep. However when I put the RAM back in it started acting the way I described above, no beeps, no vga, no post.

Thanks for any help on this matter, I'm looking forward to getting this all set up!!!

its not the power supply. I might be your memory. As i know the m2-atx only time it need modding is when you use a lv-677. trust me i started that thread. i callled iturner up and spoke with a guy there and modded a couple of my m2-atx. check memory it could be your problem.

Hey thanks for the quick replies , acutally I haven't tried with just the ATX power supply as I have no way of using the power button pins on the mobo to turn on the computer (unless I can just short them together), however I have gotten the Mobo to beep (one long beep every few seconds with the ram stick in) a few more times when I set the M2-ATX to mode 0 (normal PSU mode) So I'll see if it's just the RAM. I'm gonna try to take it to a Comptuer store tonight to see if they can test the mobo for me using a real PSU.

Thanks for the suggestions I'll let you know how each of these tests go,

you can just touch the pins together to test it if you want.
