  • Recommend a power supply?

    Hi there,

I am looking at buying an Advantech PCI-6771. The specs state that Standard Mode Power Consumption is 4.73 A @ 5 V.

I am fairly confident that an Opus 120W DC-DC ATX/BTX will work with this board, but I figured it's best to ask first. Will a Smart Automotive Power Supply M1-ATX (90W) also work?

Does anyone see any problems with using one of these? Are there any better/cheaper options around?

I'm going to be running the SBC, a 2.5" HDD, usb sound card, and usb gps receiver off of it.

The Opus 120w is just as smart as the M1ATX.

One thing I see is that this SBC doesn't have an ATX connector for power. IT has a 4-pin molex.
The specs say it requires 5v power, so you're going to need to find a PSU that will output the required voltage.
    Power requirements:
    - typical: 4.73 A @ +5 V with Celeron™ 466, 64 MB SO DIMM
    - Max.: 6 A @ +5 V
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

Under normal circumstances, a signature would go here.

I just realised I was looking at some photos of a different model!

Are there any 12v input power supplies that have a 4-pin molex plug?
