    Hi,

I just bought a Travla C158 on the net and it comes with a PSU 60W so my question is:

Is it a good PSU to plug in direct from the battery or should I use the M2-ATX 160W?? I'm kinda confused in what that PSU 60W is and what I need.

    Thank you

I believe the 60w internal psu only converts 12v to all the required voltages for the system. If this is the case, then connecting it directly to the battery would probably be a bad idea.

Or a laptop auto adapter that will output 12v.

You means like an AC Adapter External? 12V 5A?

Your power supply does _NOT_ regulate the 12 Volts, so when the voltage in your car jumps up and down you will fry your parts in the computer - DON'T do that!

Been there, done that - got the t-shirt!

Look after an M2 ATX - it has integrated Shutdown Controller too.
