  • M2-ATX-HV Reboot issues.....on 3 separate cars!

I am truly at a loss, here's my setup:

All 3 cars have the same setup, here is the issue:

The computers will power up for about 3 minutes, then shutdown by themselves. It is a soft shutdown, NOT a hard shutdown. I have tested this by setting XP to prompt when the power button is pressed. So instead of shutting down, the dialog box pops up asking what we want to do. We can cancel out and keep the computer going, but the dialog box keeps popping up at random times.

This ONLY happens when the power button is plugged in. When there is no power button, it does not happen. I have tried reversing polarity on the headers from the M2 to the motherboard with no success. I have also tried soldering the power button leads directly to the jumper cable from the M2 to the motherboard, bypassing the extra header on the M2. Still no success.

I have setup a test environment in my lab using the 12v rails off of a standard ATX psu for power to the M2, and the issues do not happen with the power button plugged in.

    To recap:

    In Car:
Power button plugged in, soft reboot
Power button unplugged, no soft reboot

    In Lab:
Power button plugged in, no soft reboot
Power button unplugged, no soft reboot

I have been fighting with this for quite a while, any ideas?
