  • Newbie Needs Power

Im a newbie to this whole deal of putting a computer in my car. I just want to know what the best and safest power/microcontroller setup is out there. If someone can post that for me Id be eternally gratefully. I heard the PW60 and PW70 arent good for car applications. So am I to assume that the opus is the only good one? what about the best microcontroller? How much are these? I am on a budget

              Thanks

Ok I guess the opus is the way to go. Is that group buy still an option? Oh and yeah you are right hijinks. Its worth it to spend the money I guess.

Bosstone, can you send me a list of the power/controller items you have used and are using? Is the opus unit sufficient to do everything? What do you all think of Masteros unit? Jeffs?

i think I will get an inverter and use that until the 90w opus is released thanks for the input. Also, with the inverter, is it necessary to shut down the pc manually?

                      Compared to a DC-DC supply....YES
But you can ground them good and not have a problem.
