  • ac adaptor

ok, this seems like an easy to fill request to me, but i guess i haven't been searching in the right places. i'm looking for an ac adaptor that i can plug into the wall and use to test my computer in the house. i have one of the epia boards with a dc-dc power supply and i'd rather not keep switching out the dc power supply for a standard ac atx power supply. can someone point me in the right direction?

what kind of DCDC supply do you have? If you have OPUS at 150W like me, (or even 90W) you'll need a power supply that has pretty good amperage to keep you going.

I use a 12V 13A PSU I bought off of ebay for about 20 bucks. Here's a link to one:

          http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...&category=2563

Just search for Cosel or Elco and you'll find one maybe cheaper/closer to you. New, these supplies are about 60-70 bucks.

All you'll need to wire it up is a 3 prong power cord (you can cut up a computer power cord) and some wire for the 12V lines!

i've got the ps60 60-watt dc-to-dc power supply that snaps onto the end of a mini-itx motherboard. radio shack has ac to dc adapters, but they aren't rated at more than 1.5 amps. i'm looking for something that will be able to handle around 5 amps. thanks for the information so far.

well then you can use the one that i described to you on www.dc2dc.com if you are wary of the output of the adapter then you can opt for the bigger one
