  • Power supply help needed

Hey guys i currently have a shuttle sv 24 mini pc. I wanna change the ps in it to one of these
    http://www.cougar.com.au/index.cfm?ID=33&Part=9999#
so i can run it in my car as a mp3 pc.

Problem is that the current psu is a
Channel Well Technology CWT-150FATX 150W Power Supply
Spec of the psu are Below in this pic. (this isnt my ps its off another site but same as my ps but i dont have wires hanging outa mine like this idiot lol)

Ok well i have looked up some more info on the dc dc power supply
    http://www.xtore.com.au/sub%20pccases21.htm

    Also found this web page

Its under the dc - dc converter bit on the left of the page.
Dont like how it says thats its very fussy on the input voltage?

I am worried that by the power outputs the new dc dc ps will not run the shuttle.

    My shuttle specs are
    celeron 1.1
    20gb seagate hd
    256mb ram
and 1 extra 80mm fan running inside of case.

So what do yous guys think?
Will it run with the new ps or am i wasting my time?
If i down grade my ps to a cele 566 it only uses like 18watts instead of the 1.1's 30 watts will that help a lot.
Its only $80 so its a bargain for that price
I would really like to get it to work cause it woulds ave me from the whole inverter and stuff i have already gone threw.

Any help will be apreciated thanks guys

If you decide to build your own Maestro PSU just be aware that sourcing Maxim or Linear Technolgies ICs in Australia is quite difficult >_< I haven't been able to find a supplier that'll do Maxim in less than 100 unit quantities...

There's one of the MAX chips available easy enough - but about AUD35 each.... Inductors from Jaycar are AUD3.95 each though which is a nice change
