  • can this 12vdc be used?

can his http://www.allelectronics.com/cgi-bi...804&type=store be used to supply a some what regulated 5v power to external periferals like usb hubs and such that need external power and could i hook up multiple devices asuming they are all in the 5v category....it should survive crank right also but this may not be all that inportant.........just wonderin any helpfull info would be nice

Nope, that is a PWM (Pulse Width Modulator). It basically "pulses" the power on/off hundreds of times per second to give a "steady" output on an electric motor or light. Anything that requires a constant voltage (such as a USB hub etc) will probably not like it.

Doubtful, this looks like it pulse width modulates it's output. I would think most devices need a constant pulse width to work correctly- though I could be wrong.

thanks for the input so can this (pulse width modulator) be used as a way (as power is concerned anyway) to control stepper motors or servos?
