ive done some searching on this ps but cant find the info im after..

ive decided to spend more money than i have and dinch the laptop cus its a waste of time and get what i should have got from the start, a mini itx

ive noticed u can get the TC boards with onboard 12v dc-dc for not much more than a normal board..

    http://www.viavpsd.com/product/epia_...herboardId=201

to use one of these all i need is the carnetix cnx-p1260? yes?

    http://www.carnetix.com/CNXP1260.html

and this will work the same as opus? on a boards without dc-dc converter?

last question which i couldnt find answers too.
ive got a laptop HDD going to the itx.. these use 5v's and the
p1260 doesnt have a 5v out put, or does the ME itx boards have 5v outputs to run a 3.5" HDD??

    thanks
    Mick

i'm not quite sure what you mean in the last bit, but the TC mobo has a plug to connect and power the hdd from the onboard 12v dc-dc

The CNX-P1260 will work perfectly with the Epia TC boards.

The 12V power supply on the TC board provides all the voltages you need for a computer. The CNX-P1260 provides a clean 12V into the TC, which requires 12V +/- 5% (which you can't get from a car normally!)

The CNX-P1260 will also sort out starting up and shutting down

i think they use both, they were about US$85 i think but they arent selling them for the moment because they are out of stock, a CNX-P1260 and TC mobo is much cheaper than an opus an a m10000, but i dont think i'd have enough power to power all my stuff, i probably need 80w not 60w

that was my main concern, the opus has 2 12v and 1 5v out and the TC board seems to only have a 12v ouy going by whats on the via site.

is the p1280 out yet? the site says it isnt..

what are u running on urs for 60w not to be enuf?

I've run a full-size, 7200rpm hard drive from the CNX-P1260, plus a Xenarc screen (the Lilliput uses almost the same power)

Do the Lilliput egg conversion and you can power your Extigy too
