  • How much power does a P4 need

    Hi I am in the process of getting a power supply for the car comp. but i need to know as to how much power does an ASROCK PRESSCOT mobo with a P4 2.4 intel chip require

    can some one help pls

    read the power supply forums there are numerous power calculators that are mentioned...

    but generally speaking... I would suggest the Opus 150W... it should be fine for you depending on what all you have on the pc...

      Search for a power calculator...the one I found was suprisingly accurate at system idle my p4 mobo and 2.5 ghz processor metered at 153 watts...the calculator estimated 152 watts.

        thanx but can u pls ge t me the link to power calculator..
        i was using 150 w DC DC ps but it could not handel the load of a PRESCOTT P4 2.4 ghz
