  • What do YOU reccomend?

I need a cheap, working, shut down controller, but I'm having trouble finding one. I don't want to go the method of the software because I don't know anything about RELAY and I don't know where the com ports are on my mother board. So what do you reccomend? Also, where would it be mounted? Thanks for the help!

    1) Link to shutdown controller. Maybe $41.99 isn't cheap enough for you. If it's not, then sorry.
    2) Relays are hardware, not software.
    3) If you can't identify a COM port, then you need some serious help. In my opinion, you shouldn't be attempting a mobile PC project if you don't know your way 'round a motherboard.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?

But like DarquePervert said, if you can't identify a COM port, how would you be comfortable working around inverter/psu/mobo?

Well I have built many computers in my day, but never had to fool around with anything electrical. But if I can find a diagram for the one that you have posted MatrixPC, I would buy it, but so far I cannot find anything. I remember seeing a diagram for the first one somewhere. But is there a diagram for yours Matrix?
