  • Fittin OPUS 150 inside case.

1.)Does anyone know of any cases besides a homemade one of course, that will fit an OPUS 150 on the inside.

    2) Is there any way to keep the OPUS on the outside of the case and still power it?

    3) If powering the machine with the OPUS outside of the case, how do you run the 20 pin mobo connector and HD power connector from the OPUS to the inside of the case?

I can answer 2, a lot of people power the pc with the 150 from outside the case, since cooling is a big issue for this psu some people recommend it. (mine however is in a homemade)

xBrady, can you direct me to any cases where this would work? Would it fit inside the Morex 669 case? http://www.morex.com.tw/669.htm

Peoples, if powering from the outside, how do you get the 20 pin connector and the hard drive power cable from the OPUS into the case? Would you need to cut holes?

I pass mine through a slot where you'd have a PCI card.

I have a slim line case, used thin foam tape around the PSU hole so that the wires would not scrape against sharpe metal. My Opus and my hard drive are both outside the case. The opus will not fit in my slim mATX case.

None of the hole match up with the OPUS 150. I just tried. It's a full size atx case.

Do the holes match up properly in a full size case? Sorry, but I'm actually trying it right now. Is the C137 a full size ATX case?

                    No, it's a minitix case.

You have to make a new metal plate for the Opus to fit on, and fit this plate to the holes in the case. Mind you, I'm taking about the PCB version of the Opsu, or the one without the case...

I have the OPUS 150 with the metal casing. There is no way it fits in a regular ATX case. The power supply is just too small.

It would of been nice if the manufacture did specify that it will not fit.

I have an old ATX style power supply. I'm going to try and transfer the OPUS PCB into the old power supply.

I just finished it. I did get one screw in the case. I used construction glue on two tabs that hold the power supply in place.

                        It's mint..... Rock solid.

                        Thanks..

It's a good thing you managed to get that screw in, so the PSU is properly grounded.
