  • This says 12v power supply but...

Here is an item boasts a 12V power supply, does this mean I would not really need to purchase the Opus PS? Any comments would be appreciated, I am tempted to buy this soon. Just a little confused.

I think that means internally its got 12v components (as it would being a standard atx)

The back of the unit definately has an IEC mains plug for it

"ATX12V" is a name for power standard. "ATX" is the 20 pin connector, and ATX12V is the 2x2 connector. There are ATX12V rev1.1 to 2.2, which is the latest. It allows for a greater load as required by today's processors

      Gen 1: Pentium 3 1GHz - ATX - 2005
      Gen 2: Pentium M 1.6GHz - ITX - 2006
      Gen 3: Pentium M 2.0GHz - 5.25" SBC - 2007
      Gen 4: (coming soon: Core2 Duo - 3.5" SBC - 2009) never ends

I did figure that out after a few more hours reading, it is taking me weeks to catch up with the knowledge on these forums. Thanks for the answers though.
