  • P1900 and A7n8x

Right, my car pc is all put together, right upto the stage of buying a PSU and installing it into the car.

looking at the specs of the P1900, its primary output is 18/19/20v.

So that is meaning to say that i cant just plug it into my a7n8x-vm/400, and it'll work, as the mobo requires a 12v input.

is it just going to be a case of getting an opus 150w? or can i actually do it with the p1900, which i would rather use.

    Thanks
    Asus A7N8x-VM/400
    Mobile Athlon 1600+
    512 Mb DDR SD RAM
    2.5" 30Gig IDE HDD
    OPUS 150

    Slimline DVD (possibly)
Lilliput 8" touch screen (Maybe motorised 7 tho)

    Fabricate screen into dash
    INSTALL!

    Current: Installing mobo

OMG, your mobo has an ATX socket thereofore it needs the full ATX power requirements.

Hints: opus 150 has atx outputs

Carnetix P1900 doesnt (you have to add on another power supply board - i recommend the 140W version)

                          can you be more specific?

for a bonus point: what would a person have to be to try it in the 1st place?
