  • wiring screen direct to PSU

    Quick question ?

Is there anything wrong with powering my linitx screen (max 10 watts) by wiring it straight to a connector on the PSU (enermax 230W micro-atx)
    145 watt micro-atx power supply
    LV-670M motherboard
    1.7 mobile pentium
    600w pure sine wave inverter
    250gb hard drive

assuming the screen is 12v then it wont be a problem, i mean 10watts is like ~1A @ 12V so thats fine! Just make sure you wire the positive to the Yellow and ground to black on the PSU connector.

thought so, its just that not many people seem to be doing this and I wondered why as it seems the easiest and most practical solution

I think most people want to leave as much power from the PSU going to the computer so they power the screen off the ign wires or other places that have "unlimited" power.
        Spent so far: $1,755
