  • xbox power supply useful?

I have searched and come up with nothing. I took a apart one of my old xbox that broke and i noticed the power supply in it had a maximun of 96w. Is there anyway i can incorporate this in to my carpc and use it as the power supply? My next question would be if i could make it dcc-dc? Thanks

Very doubtful. I don't know for sure, but you're basically going to need to figure out how a power supply works and determine where to feed 12V into the stream of components. As usual, messing with a power supply, transformers, high charge capacitors use caution.

google for "how does a power supply work" and you'll get info and hopefully a schematic that will resemble your xbox psu.
