  • Which DC -DC converter??

There are what 4 different DC-DC converters by Arise? How do I figure out which one is the right one...or will they all work?

Secondly, I dont take my EE class until next semster. Are they difficult to install? And if I install it improperly will I destroy my comp?
I'm a ghost...email me if you have any questions on my old setup

You need to measure the power you will need (Watts) for powering your system. A simple system like a PII300 with a 6.0 Gb HD and a CD-Rom will need aprox. 40W. You make a choice by how much acessories you will put in your project (LCD screen, DVD, extra HD, TV board...). Also one thing... the Arise power supplys are not ATX, only AT wich means you can only power AT motherboards (Pentium 233MMX at most).

So what is out there for a Celery 400 mhz?? Do i even have a Dc-DC option? assuming there is, do I just go for the more powerful one to be on the safe side (ie more expensive one)?

        True, but not quitte true,

I have a mobo that accept both AT and ATX power connections.. (somehow the board convers 5v -> 3.3v)
this will take about anything up to 550Mhz

So it really depends on the mobo used.

        Just a thought.
