  • 5V @ 10amps

I bought a cheap dc/dc converter, and it's not quite powerful enough. The +12, -5, -12 are fine, but it doesn't produce nearly enough on the +5 line.

My mobo needs about 7.5 amps on the +5, and the dc/dc only puts out 3.5

I was going to use the dc/dc converter for everything but +5v, and for the motherboard I need a new +5v source.

    SO.....

What's a quick and cheap way to produce 5V at 8-10A from the car's 10-14v?
