  • Do I need -12 and -5?

    Hi!
    Simple question.
I'm going for an old AT motherboard from Compaq Deskpro. i'll be using one harddrive, external NIC and Audio card.
Will it require -5 and -12 voltages?

    Thanks!

You probably do. The negative voltages are used by most sound cards and some video cards. Also, most serial ports require them.

The minus 12 is still used, but a lot of newer motherboards don't use the -5 anymore.
