  • Overloading my Inverter!

    Just bought a 200w constant (500w peak) switching inverter (12vdc - 220vac).

I dont want to run it out of the cigarette lighter (as that is the plug it has on it), and want to wire it directly into the electrics. Its rated up to 18amps.

I wanted to know if i should be putting a 19/20amp fuse in series as it will be connected basically directly to the battery. Or is my battery not going to spike that high... thanks heaps

you guys and this board owns..

    regards,

    Simon
