  • Powering M1-ATX with CPU ATX power supply ???

I'll be starting my first build here in a few days, and I was wondering how I could power my M1-ATX while I'm in my house. I have an old ATX power supply out of an old computer that I'm thinking about using. Can I just grab some juice off of pin #10 (+12VDC) and use a ground at one of the (COM) pins like #3 ? Will this work? I just don't want to over or under power anything.

BTW, here's what my system will be:
    Nano ITX - N10000
    1GB SODIMM DDR400
Samsung 2.5" SATA 40GB Hard Drive
Panasonic CW-8124-B Slimline Slot Loading CD-RW/DVD
    90W DC-DC Power Supply (M1-ATX)
    Xenarc 700TSV 7" TFT LCD
OS - Hopefully Windows XP *fingers crossed*

    Thanks,
    Justin

Looks good to me. Not hoping for Windows Vista?

      There's a FAQ for this: http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=84681

I really suggest that you peruse the FAQ Emporium, as there are instructional and informational threads that will answer about 90% of your questions. The FAQ Emporium is here: http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=106
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
      How about the Wiki?

Under normal circumstances, a signature would go here.

DarquePervert: Cool thanks. I've never even seen the The FAQ Emporium section. For some reason I've over looked that section every time I've been to this forum. I'll check it out.

        Thanks,
        Justin
