  • Ignition line current

I would like to use an already existing ignition wire from my stereo harness.
The problem is that this wire is very thin, and I don't know if the M4-ATX is drawing current from this wire.

Do you know if it is safe to use a thin wire for the ignition line in the M4-ATX connector?

It draws very little current, just enough to sense when the ignition is fine.
I use 18awg for my remote wire and it works quite well.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

Under normal circumstances, a signature would go here.

Thanks, that helped me a lot.

By the way, I just received a mail from Mini-Box.
        They say:
"The current rating for the "ignition line" connector 2-5mA."

        For whom it may concern.
