  • Centrafuse 1.1

I just read your release notes for 1.1. Seems like you've been pretty busy.

    Couple of questions though.
    1. If you set Centrafuse to start in shell, how do you set -nowarning?
    2. Is this still beta or the final release version
    3. When would it be available for download?

    Thanks.

It will run through some more testing and it not for sale yet, but it will not be listed as an RC...

I will be testing the updater soon to fix the known issues...

I should be posting it very soon, preparing and testing the MSI today and hopefully will not run into any major issues and have it posted soon there after...

As for running as shell, you would have to edit the registry yourself manually and not use the set as shell in the settings...

It would be nice if the limitations could be set to block TV/Video/Vis, but still allow Nav menu to work as using Navigation equipment is not yet illegal in most countries AFAIK But watching moving video is

Being able to remove the banner screen would ne nice to as some of us use a B&W screenie of CF as a Desktop Background thus giving the impression that things are loading faster than they are Its sort of like windows does when shutting down, turns everything B&W then shuts down.

I still might remove this restriction... Just some major OEM navigation systems have started to lock out changing your destination or setting POI locations while the car is moving...

I was just following suit with them... If anything I would make it a seperate limit, but not remove it...

Please remove (or do not put) this restriction. I currently own one of those OEM that prevents you from entering address destinations and also limits the POIs while driving and I absolutely hate it. You can't always find somewhere to pull over.

The other difference is the restrictions are not there if there's someone in the passenger seat. Since there's no way for Centrafuse to tell if there's someone in the passenger seat, the restriction will always be there.

It's not that I want them there, it will soon be law if it is not already in some states/countries...

You can remove the limit if you read the release notes if it's legal in your state/country, but the feature for -nolimit and -nowarning are there for testing on your desktop or for places where it is legal only... The user takes full responsibility for modifying the application...

note: we don't want to get sued, it's a said fact... I wish we didn't have too as well...

I think this argument needs to stop! Flux is being kind enough to allow for user override. That's a blessing, and be thankful for it!

Ah good at first I didn't think we could unblock it, but the final two posts helped me out

Edit: I just read this is only when using GPS which I don't have so I guess I don't have to worry.

                    Thanks again for the update!
