  • Visualizations on Sat Radio screen

Recently changed MB's and with the new MB I had the vendor install CF V2 (registered XLE).

Everything works fine, but I seem to remember having the ability to use interactive (react to music) visualizations on the XM screen?

Now if I tap the visualization area, I can change the visualization, but they dont react to the music at all. When in the Media player screen the visualizations work fine, can change them, ful screen, react to music.

The Sat radio and MP3's are set up the same as they were with the other MB's (mp3,s on a second drive and the XM coming in on the aux in jack on the pc).

Anything I can do about this in V2?

the visuals should work if you have buffer enabled...

Ah, that may be it, because I definitly have that off. But I aslo had that off when I was using V 1.42 and I got them then?

Oh well, Ill turn it on, Thank You David

So what is buffering actually doing? running the xm feed to disk? memory ? then putting it out on aux?
Should enabeling buffering have an impact on system resources used or cpu load?

it will have some impact, it does use more resources... it records to the disk and plays back, which allows you to have EQ and Visuals...

there were some older visuals that moved and "acted" like they were responding to the music earlier, but now they actually do, but only with music files and when using buffer...

          Ah Thank you Dave.

The quick responsiveness in support of CF is one of the biggest benefits of this front end.
