  • reading music off D + multi cameras ?s

    I search but couldn't find

Is there a way for CF to read music off of D drive instead of coping my music onto C drive? I partitioned my drive just for this reason and now CF wants to Copy all my music back onto C drive

Also, is there a way to setup the "Cam" plugin to display more than one cam? I only have one camera right now so I can't experiment but I plan on having 4

I have V3.1 if that helps

CF3.1 doesn't copy anything. It just imports the id3 tag information into its database. Go into Advanced settings->audio/video. Click the music folders button and then the "+" sign. browse to the root of your music library and click ok. CF will scan the directory and build your library.

As far as the Cameras go, buy a Security Camera Quad Processor, connect the 4 cameras to it (they must be composite), then connect that to a capture card on the PC and set CF to use the capture card as its image device.

I am doing something similar, but instead of using a PC, I plan to use a black box recorder. I wanted to cover front, rear, left, right and cabin. So the black box has its own forward facing camera, then the rest are on the DQP. It all records in the background. The images I do see are right, left and rear since I am doing away with my mirrors.

Nirwana Project, the Android/Win 7 hybrid system!

      3x Perixx Touchpads
      3x 7 inch Screens
      1X 7 inch motorized Screen
      1x Win 7 PC

Very cool! I'm testing a new plugin for Centrafuse 3.1 that will allow you to use a mix of composite (using a capture card) and USB cameras and display/record up to 5 sources in a choice of layouts. You also get GPS/OBDII data text and Google Map location overlays. You can use multiple screens in preview mode or record mode, but all screens and (selectable) overlays are recorded to a single video file.

Should be available in the next couple of weeks.

I was going to do something similar with Curiosity's software, but I was scared that in an accident the PC would fail. So I went with a solution that is much more stable.

For testing you can get CCTV quads off ebay for almost free (like 30/$50) obviously these are bare bones with regards to features but they can get you sorted for testing.

I already have a 4 port capture card, it would suck if I had to use something else to connect to that
