  • CF 3.0 config

So, I finally decided to spring for CF 3 as my frontend. Only problem is, it's not detecting my OBDLink and BoomzBox. Or rather it is detecting BoomzBox but not allowing me to hear any audio from it. I'd really like to get it to recognize my OBDLink and allow me to use my BoomzBox. Anyone know how to do this? Would also like to integrate DashCommand into CF 3.

Centrafuse is a good place for this , too.

    A couple of steps here:

    1. Are you able to detect and hear music from your Boomzbox in Windows alone?
    2. How do you know CF3 is "seeing" your Boomzbox?
    3. Same question for OBDLink: can you see and use it in Windows?

The OBDlink is really just a matter of three things:

    1. Identify the com port that the device appears on.
    2. Identify the recommended baud rate (probably NOT 9600)
    3. Identify the emulation mode (ELM327 etc)

Once you have those, you "should" be able to configure CF3 to see the device and display data. in the OBDII settings, be sure to set autostart "on" so that the device is connected when CF3 starts.

For the Boomzbox (just guessing, I don't have one), the process should be just about the same:

    1. Identify the com port that the device appears on.
    2. Identify the default audio in settings. In other words, where is Windows looking in order to "hear" the Boomzbox.
    3. Since CF3 probably doesn't support the Boomzbox by default, I'm guessing you're using Radiator to control it, so you'll need to get it working with radiator and then get that to work in CF3.

Again, just guessing since I don't know much about that device.

    Cheers!
