  • Popup internet windows - a question

I tried to search, maybe didn't use correct terms...

I have been testing CentraFuse out on another box outside of the car, and I noticed when I click on a link a new window ouside of the CentraFuse display window opens. Can these be directed to open inside here or something?

Example is my trying to use the www.cotrip.org traffic info - that website is shown inside the front end, I click on like the webcams link - then when I want to click a camera icon I get a new window outside. Maybe this will not be a problem once in the car (with display NOT set at 1280x1024) - the window will just display over the top of centraFuse I guess and then I can close it to again see the front end.

    Screen shot LOCATED HERE

I am liking it. Going to have to do some more testing with the GPS. Got lots more reading to do here and from your manual too. Looks NICE!

Currently I don't support embedding browser popup windows. I plan on trying to implement a tab system..

Ohh, even better - TABs are perfect. I would prefer to load up traffic info (maps/webcams...) in the background and then just flip through the tabs once they are loaded.

How is the web feature tied in...

Not really related to this topic but didn't want to start a new thread just for what could be a dumb question.

Do you have to have internet explorer to use the web feature?

        Does it support other browsers.

Was looking to strip windows of IE. Is the IE required?
