  • PhoCo 1.4 RC1

I got this email notification from PhoCo (i registered in the website)
    Dear PhoneControl.NET users,

version 1.4 RC1 is now ready for download at http://*holding this, zorro might not want it out like this!*
New features can be taken from the froum at http://zhorvat.dyndns.org/PCForums/S...aspx?PostID=47.

Attention!! This version isn't freeware anymore! After installation you have 30 days to test this software.
After that, you can only run it when you apply a serial number.
If you don't want to do that, you'd better leave the old version installed.

Users, who are listed on my "Thanks to..." webpage will get a serial number for free. Therefore please send me a E-Mail with full name and address.

    Enjoy!
So it says in the PhoCo forum (link above) that it will not support old 1.3 and below skins. When can we get an update for centrafuse? I'm particularly interested in this new PhoCo release because i'd like to use my symbian phone (3650) with it. Too bad its going to be a trial version starting at 1.4

there is also a note on symbian phones that you need to run an app.
on your phone to make it work. ( red it on his site...)

I am about to start working with Zorro on integrating his latest version into CENTRAFUSE, which should correct all the previous reported CF PhoCo problems...

alright great, please keep us informed with this maybe on its own thread (centrafuse1.2x and phoco1.4 integration)

on another note, you think there will be a free version of the PhoCo 1.4? How will the pricing be in conjunction with your pricing of centrafuse, will there be sort of a combo package price?

          Good question!

Im testing for Zorro - and can tell you the future is bright in terms of compatibility and actual features, withnew easy setup and wider support.
Zorro would be mad not to charge for his s/ware as its brilliant!

we have tosee howitworks out with CF

Just installed 1.4 RC2, and still having problems. When Dialing out using embedded PhoneControl, the phone STILL automatically hangs up after 17 seconds.

does it only do it in pho control or only when integrated?

OriginalNick2:if I am following correctly (and I think I am) this is a reported bug from within centrafuse, the hanging up thing...

As for PhoCo going commercial, I am all for it! I love free software, but either it is 100% open source, with heavy development, or I think it is better off with going commercial... This way users can really "request" (I dont mean it in a demanding dictatorial way, no) features and fixes. As a user it means software will tend to improve, especially since there is such a large user base united together in this website, where we can all speak in favor/or if need be against... (If a considerable %age of windows users spoke to each other on an open forum, then MS would get its act more together to fix stuff or risk seeing new alternatives coming up)

Any ideas for putting a PC in this? :)

k - just makes sense for the bugto be at the PhoCo end, considering there is the phone combatibility, bluetooth probs and profiles, and PHoCo itself - seems wierd that CF is causing this.

Apparently this popped up on one of the CF releases.... a quick search in the CF forum can probably clear it up for ya, cause veetid I think found out where it was coming from... anyways i'm lazy... heeheh

i guess this also clears it...

Its definately a Centrafuse problem, Veetid is working on it.
