not really sure what the advanced manager is, i remember checking to turn it on in the settings but didnt really see any difference.
I must also admit, i havent been testing the app like i would like to, (in my car) because mostly of the next song bug which would cause a huge distraction while im driveing if i had to allways manualy advance the next song. So most of my testing is on the desktop.

I've been playing with it on and off and can't see the difference either.

        What should the difference be?
How would we know if it is working?

Doesnt it just basically add your songs to the playlist you select and not the que?

I am considering removing this feature... that's why I ask... Basically when not in advanced mode everytime you click "+" it adds to the queue... When advanced manager is enabled it adds to the loaded playlist... So if advanced manager is enabled and you click "playlists", click one of your saved playlists, then go back to library and hit "+"... the selection will be added to the open playlist and automatically saved...

It's basically a way for you to not only save playlists, but actually edit them too... Might be a little much for the car...

If there's no great overhead then I'd like it kept.

there is no overhead... mainly just lots of people not having any idea what it does... it's an option that pretty much just confused people...

Maybe it's the description. What about Playlist Mode v Queue Mode?

If people are confused it's just lack of understanding.

I was confused until you posted what it does.

I have many training/development/books ripped into many tracks. Making a playlist that allows me to delete the tracks I've heard easily is a nice feature and means I can come back to the book and play the playlist without listening to content again.

Please keep it - just drop the 'Advanced'. I think 'Advanced' creates an expectation of something more.

                          I use it.

I like making permanent changes to the playlist easily, instead of have to load the playlist, modify the queue, and then resave the play list over again.

Keep it.. Now that i know what it is, i will use it, because its more like CF 1.2, and I liked that way better..

And if i can come with an request:

Have a search button in the current playlist, so i can search for one song, hear that and then it keep playing my playlist.. Now I have to search, play that song and so load playlist after its finished..

I would recommend keeping settings like this but dont create a UI to change them, just keep them editable in the settings ini
