  • Is It Possible To Play Dvd's From Folder On Hard Drive?

I was wondering is it possible to play DVD's in centrafuse from folders on the Hard Drive. For instance, in WinDVD you can choose your DVD-ROM or from a file on your Hard Drive. Is this possible in Centrafuse? If not, will it be?

I tried adding .IFO to the list of file types in Centrafuse. By doing so I get them to show up in my "Video Paths" directory, but they don't play.

I think it would be cool if when a person clicked on "DVD" in CF it ask if they would like to play from DVD-ROM or a Folder.

    you could either:

Convert the DVD into a format the Video player can read (DivX).

    Or.

Mount the DVD image onto another Drive, and Centrafuse would find it.

I know I could use Dameon Tools to mount the DVD, the only problem is accessing Dameon tools while CF is loaded. If I could intergrate daemon tools that would be cool. The thing with Daemon is that is runs from the toolbar. If doesn't open up in a window, so there is no "Window Name" to control it

I second the motion to be able to play DVDs from folders/images.

It would be pretty cool if it could handle .iso images without having to mount them with Alcohol 120 or Daemon Tools.

I can play .iso files. I think the reason is because I have VLC media player on my system and the codec it uses for DVD/ISO gets used by CF.

Get the player it is Open Source and probably the best all around player out there.

Actually...... centrafuse can playback ISO files w/o vlc. However, DVD menus are not accessible.

You need to first open your C:\Program Files\Flux Media\Centrafuse\system\config.xml file in notepad

Edit the 2nd line (VIDEOEXT tag) to contain :
              avi|qt|mov|mpg|mpeg|m1v|wmv|bin|img|iso

Then start up centrafuse and its all go. Except the damn menus.

So should I set my "Video Path" to point to where all my ".ISO" files are? then click of the appropriate file and hit "load" for it to play?

Even though the menus don't work, I should still be able to play it with no problem right?
