  • 12 Sec boot time hibernation patch & vedio !!

hi guys i made something today and i like to shear it with all of you
i made some modifaction to ntldr file in the root of C: drive that will replace Resuming Windows to Loading Centrafuse and will delete all the text under the bar that appears when resuming from hibernation you will find the patch and a video of my system on the attachments.
to apply the patch go to drive C:
select Tools Folder Opption then click on View tab
from View select show hiddin files and folders
then uncheck Hide protected operating system files (Recommended)
copy the patch file to the root of drive C: run it
    thats it
    i hope you like it

PS: this patch will work with XP pro SP2 i didnt test it on other versions after patching you will find a file ntldr.BAK this is your original file if anything went wrong just delete ntldr rename ntldr.BAK to ntldr.

How did you get the resume time so low? I've tried endlessly and nothing works!

i am running intel celeron 2.5 and 192+64vga ram gigabyte motherboard with custom made case i made my self i will make a full post telling about my system later
for now less ram = less boot time (for hibernation)
something that i liked so much in my motherboard the ability to change the bios boot up screen i used the first one for that and the seconed one is my windows boot up screen

Ah, the motherboard makes a huge difference. I use an EPIA M10k which doesn't use DMA to resume so it's slow as *****. My laptop uses DMA to resume and it only takes about 15 seconds with 512 MB of RAM.

My BIOS screen on in my CTS shows a Cadillac logo.

Yup. It's not an option in the BIOS though. You have to use a BIOS editing program to add a logo to the BIOS image and then flash it.

              bishooman,

What is that .3gp file included in the patch? I looked it up in google, and seems like a video format for cell phones?

Nice work. I would want to do something like this, but with my custom art (Honda logo). Have not found a way to change my hibernation screen though.

Does this change only the Resuming window, or also the 'hibernating' window?

                            yeah i'd like that.

and some info on doing the bios screen too

this could make it look much more OEM/integrated

May I ask what BIOS editor you use, and where you got it? I have an M1000 and I would love to do some poking around there.
