  • Hey Zorro, I need your help....

Zorro how are you? It's been a while since we've interacted. You've
been a great help to me. I'm currently using PHONCO/CF rc1 with a motorola
e815 through a bluetooth dongle. Everything is setup and running
properly. I can make calls, and send text messages. When I receive a call it
pops up with who it is and says the name.

    2 minor things

    1. Sometimes when I receive a call it will pop up and tell me who it
is. If I click on the green "Pick up Call" icon on my screen it will pick
the call up through my cell phone handset. This works fine.

The problem is when I end my call, I touch the hang up icon, and the
call ends. Which is all good. BUT, after doing that when a new call comes
in it doesn't go through the phonco system anymore but only to my
handset. Why is this and what can do to fix it? Is there something I need to
do to reconnect again or something?

    2. When a call comes in and I hit the green "Pick up call" icon, is
there anyway I can take the call through my Bluetooth earpiece, instead of
it going to my regular handset? A button I need to push or
    something...etc

I've see something about this, but I never understood it. I was so
    confused man...lol

Zorro, thank you. I appreciate you very much

For motorola phones PhoCo works different:

When you accept the call, it'll cut off the serial connection since Moto phones (still) do not support multiple BT connections. Only if the serial connection is closed the headset connection can take place.
If the CarPC is your "headset", it's controlled by PhoCo and if you doubleclick the headset symbol, it'll release the headset connection and the serial connection will re-establish automatically.

Unfortunately a real headset once connected, won't drop until you switch it off or disconnect it on the phone. Therefore, the second call will only appear on the headset only and not on PhoCo.

There's no workaround for that (and there won't ever be, since the headset can't be handeled from the PC). If you don't want to use your CarPC as headset, you need another phone.

Amusingly enough, this answers a question of mine in the Bug Report thread. I didn't realize Moto is the only company that only supports one simultaneous BT connection.

      Dangit.

Any PocketPC style phones with Verizon that don't have this limitation?

Look out for Windows Mobile phones. As far as I know most of them do support multiple connections and PhoCo is prepared to run a real headset.
