  • MP3 player / Creative Vision M integration

Hey David, I love Centrafuse, have been using it for a long time, and am finalizing my install with RC5.
Is it possible to have direct access to my media library on my MP3 player (Creative Vision M, the best player!), via the USB button in the CF library?
It would be cool to be able to just hook it up and have access to the music, pictures and videos on my Vision. That way I wouldn't have to have all files twice
    Thanks!

Yeah, it is, but the Vision M has a partition for the media files (music, pictures, movies) and a USB HDD partition. In the media setting, the player shows up as a separate device, instead of a USB HDD, and I can't access that device in CF.

But it _does_ show up in Windows as a drive letter, right?

If so, then you can add it into CF as a "Music Folder" (settings | audio/video | Music Folders). Then to play, go to Media | My Library | Music Folders. This is how I play files from my H10 and it works okay.

Ahhh! It's an MTP device. Bummer.

I dunno that David has looked into support for MTP devices. He'll have to answer on that himself.
