  • Resume from Hibernation: Music doesnt autoplay?

    Hi.

When I resume from hibernation, the music in Centrafuse doesnt play automatically as configured in the settings. I have even tried turning that autoplay button on and off, but no difference.

The little play button is in the symbol of music playing, but music isnt playing (the time counter is paused). I have to manually press on the button twice (once to make it into the music is paused symbol, and once again to get music playing). However, when I do a full boot, Centrafuse autoplays my music just fine.

Anyone else having this problem? I am using a Creative Audigy SE sound card, incase that is of any relevance. Thanks.

When resuming from hibernation you can also press anywhere on the screen once and music should resume ( if you press on a button it will enter into that module ). A few of us has had this issue but David cannot reproduce the problem to correct it. I just found out yesterday that music will also resume on my system if I use standby so I am going to try that for a bit and see how my battery holds out.

      I have the same problem.
after hibernation, i can do what i want, there is no sound. Even the click sound is gone.
I have to close CF, and open again, then the sound is there again.

Firebird, your problem sounds different from mine (and more severe). I actually have sound when resume from hibernation, its just that Centrafuse has paused the music.

In your case, I'm guessing it might be a sound card issue. Maybe try updating/downgrading your sound card drivers? Or maybe you could try a different sound card/use onboard sound just to see if that makes a difference.

          no, the drivers are OK.

After a complete restart, often the first hibernation works and the sound is there again, but the second time there is 100% this problem.

This log is very often listed in the error.log file:

          09.07.2007 20:43:55
Operation is not valid due to the current state of the object.

Have you tried reinstalling Centrafuse? What about upgrading DirectX? Maybe you might even need to format and start clean.

I've formated and reinstalled the PC 3 weeks ago.
              DirectX is up to date.
Today i've reinstalles the neu sounddriver and DirectX.
For 4 days ago, i reinstalles Centrafuce 1.1.
There is no problem in Windows, because the windows sound is there after hibernation, but not in CF.
Now, when there is no sound after hibernation, i only have to restart CF, and everithing works fine.

are there any different drivers you can try for your soundcard?

Now, i reinstalled the whole PC.
First it worked, but then the screensaver came while CF played, and the PC hung. I restarted it, and the sound problem was there again.
