  • Electronic Suspension Control

    Hi all,
we have developed a CF plugin that control pneumatic suspensions.

    first the screenshots:

the plugin control a self made interface wich read pressure and control 4 valves that charge and discharge the air in the suspensions.

    Ciao,
    Alberto & Roberto

    WOW!

This is beautiful! How much does the interface cost? Is it USB?

[edit] I see it's serial... does it work with USB->serial adapters?

I had the same idea and plans for the next year !

How do you get the pressure ? (which sensors)
Do you get the height of the suspensions ?

(and I think you have a bug in your plugin - you can't control the stiffness... but

You will find this VERY interesting:
        www.maxtrac.nl

and also have a look at the "InPro Dynaride Protronic" Suspension
Yes the spring could also be replaced....

Does this interface with any existing hardware (like the LevelPro from AirRide)?
Also, does the control/sensor unit have the ability to interface w/ ride height sensors?
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
          How about the Wiki?

Under normal circumstances, a signature would go here.

            I have used industrial analog pressure sensor (0 to 8 Atm = 0 to 5 V).
            more pressure, more height!
The AUTO function keep the current pressure. The user can change the pressure value (.5 to 4 Atm) for CONFORT or SPORT program.

I think ther'is no problem to interface the plugin with existing different hardware. I need only the specifications! The interface use a PIC wich control pressure and valves; this card working stand alone; The CF plugin send commands to the card and receive the status of errors, valves and pressure.

ehmmm.... if you want COMFORT or SPORT you will need an adjustable (stiffness) suspension like the Maxtrac or the InPro - these come with metal springs but certainly you can replace them with an Airbag to be able to control the height...
Then COMFORT or SPORT makes sense

Thanks for the tip Darque !
The LevelPro is excatly what I have been looking for !
But it so expensive 1200$ - does someone know what the level and pressure sensors will cost without the ECU ?

Do we need an extra Suspension Thread Guys (I think this is also interesting for other Frontends) ?

What could be done with a Yawrate sensor in combination with such a super suspension (Maxtrac with AirBags) I don't need to tell you ! (?)

Are you planning to sell DIY-kits ? (would be great)

                  No !
Doesn't work if you tow a caravan or are heavy loaded...

In the photo one air suspensions installation for my motorhome. This air suspension kit don't replace the original.
