  • Aqua for 3.5+ - Video and Screenshot Previews.

Hey guys, just wanted to give everyone a heads up on the new Aqua skin, redone from scratch for 3.5+

Watch a quick video preview here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_4Dgj81Uu0Q
If you can, watch it on YouTube's site, at 720 res.

The center area is reserved for Stryder's LogoDashboard, which I am working with him on now - with hopefully plenty of space for everyones car make and model logos ya'll loved. I've gotten work that his app will cost 5,00EUR or 7.00US. If you're following his thread, the app is going to be pretty wild and have a ton of customizations on it, so I really suggest just shelling out the clams and grabbing it. I hope people will developing lots of different configurations for Clean and Aqua.

The Core skin is about 90% completed, and I'm working on Plugins and the rest of the dialogs now. It's taking a bit longer than expected. Than the color conversion begins, just like on the last Aqua, I'll have all the colors available for everyone.

I'm just doing this skin on my off time and for the love of designing. I can't even use this skin myself because I use a vertical screen, I'm doing it solely for you guys. Oh, and none of this is related to Centrafuse in any way, just a side project on my own. It's not an officially supported skin.

That's what I did to the last one, in a sense, and it came out poopy in my opinion.

..and besides it's WAY harder than that, I have ANOTHER folder in between "All Programs" and "Adobe Photoshop".

Just wanted to say thanks for Aqua- it looks great, and works well.

I've not tried yet, but would it be easy(ish) for me to add a clock to the nav screen? I lost my onboard clock when I put in the screen, and when I'm on a trip with nav up I don't have a clock anywhere.
I was thinking the top right hand corner, instead of the icons up there.

So my question is, can I just find the right files and edit them to make minor changes?

Well I spent over an hour browsing the files, and I couldn't find the place to modify to add the clock.
I started to modify some of the icons (restart, power down, sleep) that are still in the gray theme to the blue theme so they would match, but the results were not as nice as the stock ones (but they were in the correct color).

So I'll need to do some more learnin' about skins I guess.

Do most people do day and night skins, or just turn down the brightness at night?

I've been using the Blue, it looks great.

Any chance of getting a dim button on the main page someplace? I don't like diving though several pages/menus to get to it each night, especially if I'm driving...
