  • Full screen mode watching videos

How do you get out of full screen mode when watching video files? When in full screen i double click, but this does nothing. The only function i have is to pause the video. I have to use a mouse to right click and select exit full screen from the menu to get it back to normal size

Double-click should work. I will investigate, but double-click is the way it's supposed to work.

EDIT: Actually, this is something I was working on a few weeks ago. It's very possible that the next update will fix the problem you're having. If you want, I can send you a link to a new test-version.

OK, so I tested the new build you sent me Clockwork. Now you cannot even single click to pause and the double click still doesn't exit full screen.

Well, single-click shouldn't pause it. The mute button will pause/unpause it.

What OS, and what version of WMP do you have? I'm on Win7 x64 with WMP12 and it toggles full-screen back and forth just fine. Also, what kind of video files are you playing?

If I need to, I will add a mouse-move detection which will cause a play-control window to float over the right side of the video for a few moments before fading out.

In full screen you cannot access the mute button to pause. It was working before as a single click would pause the video for me.

I am using windows xp. Wmp11.

I have been trying to play avi files.

I'm using an older build (early july) and video's work fine. Double click exits back to windowed screen, single click pauses on vista 32bit ultimate sp2 SNO

For some reason this does work for me. Got xp service pack3. Before trying the new test build Clockwork sent me, a double click from normal screen would activate full screen. A single click would pause. But a double click again in fullscreen would not exit back to normal. This could only be achieved by using a mouse to right click on the fullscreen and select exit in the options. Now the new build does not do any of this and wont even pause

It's really not supposed to pause when doing a single click. At the moment, you have to exit full-screen to pause. At least, that's how it's supposed to work.

Double-click takes me to full screen and another double-click takes me back to windowed mode. I was having an issue where the return to window mode would also pause the video, which is what I had fixed in the latest test version.

I will do some testing on my XP VM and see if I can reproduce the problem there.

Also, I will mention that WMP seems to treat video files differently from the audio file visualization when it comes to full-screen playback. Can you test with an audio file and a video file and tell me if there's any difference in the behavior you are encountering?

Ok. So I tested the audio & video fullscreen. Audio works as should and a double click will exit fullscreen. Video does not

I made a web page with previous builds. Always handy when trying to diagnose when an update goes bad. http://idsgroup.homeip.net/DL.htm SNO

I suppose I should probably start keeping old versions (App and Source) on my personal website.....
